Transfesa, a leading company in logistics solutions, door-to-door transport and railway services in Spain and Euro Cargo Rail, the first private railway transport company in France, begin their collaboration on 5 January 2019.
In addition to the collaboration that both organisations have been developing in the Mediterranean Corridor, Transfesa gives ECR its full confidence in the weekly delivery in both directions of 6 complete trains between Hendaye and Forbach. DB Cargo, as a shareholder of both, thus strengthens the international development of its brokers.
The first two trains were launched on 5 January. One towards Germany and the other towards Spain. Upon its arrival in Hendaye, ECR took care of the reception and the shunting operations for the trains, with Transfesa being responsible for changing the axles of the carriages in the facilities of the Spanish company’s facilities.
Transfesa has been building corridor trains between Spain and Germany for more than a decade. ECR now joins this project which the aim to improve the punctuality and quality ratios.
