The foundation has a growing need for extra storage spaces to deposit and subsequently distribute donated products. It is for this reason that the logistics and transport company has granted them the use of warehouses for this purpose.
This alliance has begun in 2020 with the storage, between the months of January and March, of 750 pallets of food at room temperature in the company’s facilities in the Corredor del Henares, specifically in Alcalá de Henares. Transfesa Logistics’ operations staff will also be responsible for the control, loading, and unloading of the merchandise, duly compacted, classified, and protected for the requested logistics operation.

The company is launching this initiative in view of the charity’s growing need to have logistic reinforcement at times when large work activity is registered and additional warehouses are required for deposit. Among them, after campaigns such as “The Great Food Collection”, greatly supported by the population at large, or when the stock is delivered from The Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD), which occurs three times a year.

Those responsible for the Food Bank in Madrid wanted to thank Transfesa Logistics for its support not only for the granting of these spaces but also for the cooperation and all the help provided by their workers.
With this collaboration, Transfesa Logistics wants to contribute its infrastructure and make its logistics services available to the Food Bank of Madrid to optimise the reception and distribution of these provisions. For the company, actions such as supporting charities are part of its firm commitment to society, one of the group’s strategic pillars.
