The company helps the Madrina Foundation distribute donations and daily meals to nearly 2,000 homes in Madrid to serve children and mothers with few resources.

Transfesa Logistics collaborates with the Madrina Foundation to reinforce its work to help children and mothers with insufficient resources to face the consequences of the public health emergency.

The president of the Madrina Foundation, Conrado Giménez, has stated that “since the beginning of the pandemic there has been close cooperation with Transfesa Logistics. Its team collaborates with us for the daily distribution of prepared meals to the homes of nearly 2,000 families in Madrid. It also helps us to get to and transport the numerous donations that are made from various points such as the Caja Mágica, where we have a temporary storage space that the City Council has given us, the Food Bank, or the IFEMA hospital who have donated surpluses that have not been used, etc. in order to mitigate the nutritional risk of the groups that we serve.”

This service is aimed at meeting the nutritional needs of children, fighting malnutrition, and aiding pregnant women in these difficult circumstances, caused by the pandemic.

Giménez wanted to expressly thank the solidarity and work provided by companies like Transfesa Logistics, since with their work they make supplies available to thousands of homes.

For the CEO of Transfesa Logistics, Bernd Hullerum “it is an honour to be able to collaborate with the Madrina Foundation. During this time, everyone’s solidarity is the most important thing and we are very happy to be able to help and do our part. ”

The company’s support for this type of initiative responds to the group’s firm commitment to society and is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals of the Global Compact to which Transfesa Logistics adheres. Specifically, SDG1 (End of Poverty) and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger).
