Transfesa Logistics is coordinating, in our country, a new selection process to work in Germany as ground staff for railway maneuvers. The company will manage the applications of all those interested in Spain in joining the staff of DB Cargo, a subsidiary of the DB Group of which it forms part, for this type of work.
After the great success of the call for railway engineer positions in our country, DB Cargo is once again looking to Spain to recruit candidates who want to work as ground staff in Germany. Now, it offers a new free and paid training of four months in the German country with the subsequent incorporation to the staff of DB Cargo, German public railway company, with a stable contract and with great opportunities for career development within the company.
In addition, there will be access to voluntary online training to prepare the trainee for their new position, providing them with the technical terms necessary to work in the railway sector.
Requeriments
Among the basic requirements to be part of this new employment initiative, those interested must have a B2 level of German, as well as an interest in traveling to Germany, working outdoors and performing physical labor. It is also desirable that candidates have a passion for trains or have previous experience in the country, either because they have lived there for work or studies. A valid B2 certificate from an official German language school or institute would also be an advantage.
Main tasks
The main areas of the position include, among others, working with trains inside the shunting yard, checking the safe loading of wagons and supervising loading and unloading.
Selection process
The selection process will be coordinated in Spain by Transfesa Logistics. The company will carry out the pre-selection of candidates who meet the requirements and an online language test (German). If a B2 level is obtained in this test, the application will be sent to DB Cargo Germany and each selected person will enter the selection process of DB Cargo Germany, where he/she will have an online interview with a German manager.
