• #ForClimate highlights the excellence and ambition of the most innovative companies on decarbonisation.
  • Transfesa Logistics stands out for its ‘Freight belongs on rail’ initiative, a campaign that seeks to raise awareness of the impact of freight transport on climate change and to make the train visible as part of the solution.

Transfesa Logistics, a leader in sustainable logistics and freight transport solutions, has been recognised by the #ForClimate platform as one of the 10 proposals of large companies that, for their excellence, stand out in accelerating the climate ambition of the business sector.

The company has stood out for ‘Freight belongs on rail’, an initiative that aims to raise awareness among public institutions, the business sector and society in general about the importance of reducing carbon emissions in the transport sector.

The railway is the key to reduce CO2 emissions in the transport sector, which nowadays account for almost 30% of the total. Transporting goods by train reduces up to 80% of CO2.

According to the platform, “the private sector offers a wide potential to move towards a decarbonised economy, and many companies are already working towards it”.

Transfesa Logistics participated among more than 60 candidates, and has stood out among the top 10, thanks to the recognition of organisations such as the Biodiversity Foundation, the United Nations Global Compact Spain, ECODES, Aclima, the Club of Excellence in Sustainability, Forética or the Spanish Group for Green Growth, members of the #ForClimate platform.
