Transfesa Logistics was chosen by the organisation as one of the most sustainable companies for the second consecutive year.

The award-winning project was ‘We are part of the solution’, which seeks to redefine the company’s processes to align them with the strategy for reducing emissions by 2030 and decarbonisation by 2050.

Transfesa Logistics, a leading logistics and “door to door” freight transport solutions company, was recognised by #PorElClima (#ForTheClimate) Companies as one of the 101 most sustainable companies for the second year running.

In this fourth edition of #PorElClima 101 Business Examples, those proposals that accelerate the business sector’s ambitions of meeting the 2050 decarbonisation goals were selected from more than one-hundred and ninety applications.

Specifically, Transfesa Logistics was chosen in the ’ Mobilisation’ field, where it shares recognition with five other companies. The award-winning project was ‘We are part of the solution’, a proposal that, as Isabel Núñez, Environment manager at Transfesa Logistics, explains, “seeks to redefine the company’s processes to align them with the strategy for reducing emissions by 2030 and decarbonisation by 2050, by producing less waste and extending the useful life of its services and products as part of scope 3 of its activities”.

In short, what Transfesa Logistics is pursuing with this kind of initiative is to involve all organisation members in a corporate activism movement, so that they can be part of the necessary progress towards a circular and carbon-neutral economy.

Environmental awareness actions in 2021 were key and the company has succeeded in promoting more sustainable processes. It has also been possible to highlight and promote good practices at the company, which may be replicated in other areas, even serving as examples for other companies.

#PorElClima Community

The #PorElClima Community is the multi-stakeholder alliance that wants to contribute decisively to the ambitious implementation of the Paris Agreement in Spain. The 101 Business Examples initiative driving group includes representatives from the three sectors that have a key role to play in the transition to a low-carbon economy: public administrations, businesses and citizens.

This fourth edition of the #PorElClima 101 Business Examples recognised the business sector’s commitment and ambition regarding the climate, including small, medium and large companies, to make their specific climate emergency initiatives more visible and to promote decarbonisation actions.
