· The milestone has brought together the group’s standards and companies, Transfesa Logistics, MDL, SEMAT and Transervi, under a single certificate.

Transfesa Logistics, the leading company in sustainable transport and logistics solutions, has managed to bring together in a single certificate the three ISO standards – Quality, Environment and Occupational Health and Safety – that govern the operations of the group’s four companies, including Transervi, MDL and SEMAT (this one only certified in quality).

The rail operator has successfully passed the external audit conducted by Bureau Veritas, renewing the three certificates corresponding to the ISO 9001:2015 for quality management system, ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management system and ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety.

Regarding the milestone, Isabel Núñez, environment and sustainability manager, explains that “with the integration of the management systems of the different Transfesa Group companies, we have managed to create a tool with a lot of potential that allows us to be more efficient and carry out better control over our activity”.

“This makes us more aligned with the expectations of our main stakeholders and more competitive”, she adds.

In reference to the ISO 45001 standard, concerning the health and safety of Transfesa, MDL and TRANSERVI employees, it follows a high-level structure and is characterised by its emphasis on the context of the organisations, examining working conditions along the entire value chain and focusing, not only on risks, but also on opportunities for improvement.

The staff of these companies have all the necessary preventive measures in order to work in a safe and healthy environment, eliminating risks and encouraging health promotion and protection.

“For us, it is very important that each and every one of our professionals can count on this safety when carrying out their work”, concludes the ORP Manager of the Transfesa group, Beatriz Berrocal.

After passing the process, Mónica Botas, Certification Manager in Spain for the auditing company, presented the certifications to Transfesa Logistics, highlighting how, through them, “the company demonstrates its strategic vision and orientation towards excellence in all its processes, focusing on the quality of its services, environmental management and the company’s occupational health and safety”.
