The company will carry out two monthly freight transports for the collection and subsequent delivery of essential products from the Food Bank in Madrid for this entity dedicated to services aimed at people with an intellectual disability.

Transfesa Logistics maintains its strong commitment to social action, making the company’s logistics means available to vulnerable groups. Within this framework, a new charitable collaboration with the Götze Foundation begins. As a result of this agreement, the logistics operator will carry out two monthly freight transports for the collection and subsequent delivery of essential products from the Food Bank in Madrid.

These tasks will be carried out by one of the Transfesa Logistics drivers, hired through an occupational centre in Madrid. In this way, the company incorporates workers from groups with special needs in different positions in the logistics chain, making equal opportunities in the work and social sphere a reality.

The secretary of the Board of Directors of Transfesa Logistics, sponsor of the company’s social action, Julia A. García Navarro, has visited the Foundation’s facilities to learn about its service first-hand, highlighting that “the Götze Foundation carries out vital work to guarantee the quality of life, well-being and development of people with intellectual disabilities. We are proud to support initiatives like this one, which are key to making our society more just and egalitarian.

This initiative joins the charity work that Transfesa Logistics carries out by supporting numerous associations and NGOs, including Cáritas, the Food Bank or the Madrina Foundation.

In the same way and as partners of the United Nations Global Compact, through these charitable actions, we intend to contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and especially to the SDG 2, Zero Hunger, SDG 10 Reduction of Inequalities and SDG 17 Alliances to Achieve the Goals.
