It can accommodate up to 6,000 vehicles with a surface area of 122,000 m2 and a workshop.

One of the objectives of its opening is to replace the automotive logistics centre located in Fuencarral, as it is included in the Madrid Nuevo Norte urban development plan.

SEMAT, part of the Transfesa Logistics Group, is adapting to the present and future needs of the automotive sector with its new logistics centre in Campo Real.

Located in the Community of Madrid, 32 kilometres from the capital, it can accommodate up to 6,000 vehicles with a surface area of 122,000 m2. Its opening is intended to replace the logistics centre in Fuencarral, which is included in the Madrid Nuevo Norte urban development plan. At the same time, it expands SEMAT’s capacities to be able to face the forecasts for the recovery of automotive demand in 2023.

The recent Campo Real facility started operations at the end of April. It is based on meeting both current and future technological and operational needs. The centre is fully digitalised, with traceability of all internal processes and full data transparency with customers.

In terms of energy, it has solar panels installed throughout the entire surface area of the workshop, enabling it to reduce the carbon footprint of all its operations and thus comply with its sustainability strategy. With regard to waste management, it has a waste reduction plan, the aim of which is that more than 90% of the waste generated is revalued, thus contributing to the circular economy.

This warehouse will be complemented by its other centre in Madrid, El Salobral, increasing SEMAT’s capacity in the Community of Madrid by a total of 289,000 m2.

The Campo Real facility is connected to the A3 and R3, and with a very close position to the A2, which allows a capillary distribution of both medium and long distance. Together with the other centre in Madrid, it has a geographical position that allows it to cover the entire Iberian Peninsula.

After the investment made in this centre, a new project has been started in El Salobral, with the focus on the renovation of the infrastructures to make them more accessible and digital. The construction of new offices and preparation and washing workshops, together with the installation of underground fire hydrants and reinforcements in the security of the field are some of the proposals for the renovation of the centre.
